Shooting nudity of  women.

That means express the heart of the women.

Women are wonderful.

Photographer  Nakata Shinobu’s mission is
to express it in photography.

Japanese women are like formation of a pearl  
they wrap themselves in layers of beauty as the lunar phase changes.

The story of their mysterious layered veil
cannot be easily deciphered.

Their subconsciously intertwined beauty has a charm of its own,
and that is the distinctive charm of Japanese women.

Images of nudity which project pure allure and
beauty reflect the inner mind of Japanese women.

Photographs are the key to recall one’s memory.

Whenever you take a look at a photograph,
it brings you back to the exact moment when it was taken.

Photographs capture the truth, and then what does the truth in these photographs tell us?

I believe it tells us everything about the journey of the person.

The way you look at life creates the way you look,
and photographs capture all of it good or bad. 

Your state of mind is captured as it is in photographs.

I call this 【Shashin】 ーcaptured mindー 

Photographs taken by  Nakata　Shinobu capture everything about you
from your hidden thoughts to your desire to become somebody.

Photographs are Shashin (captured mind), and they define who you are.

While taking photographs, I always feel I was destined to meet the woman before me and that our encounter is predestined.

I wonder what made her decide to have her unclothed photographs taken, how she was feeling until today.
She must have taken a good care of herself till the moment she stood up in front of my camera.

As I think about how she must have felt, she becomes adorable to me, and just perceiving every feeling she has had makes my heart skip a beat.

I am in the middle of nothing.

Then, I shoot images. The shutter sound energizes my heart like magic.

Shooting is meditation.

Soundwaves stir my subject’s soul and liberate her trapped emotions and herself as if the old her fell to pieces.

Her broken shells transform into sparkly glitter and return to the universe.

And then, she forges her own path in life from there.
